Hollis, NH
I lived in the house in Hollis, NH happily with a man by the name of (removed) I didn’t have a date with a woman for 16 years until Susan Mann reappeared in my life. (removed) and I were heavy pot smokers. I can remember one 2-month stretch where we bought and consumed an ounce of pot every 10 days.
In that 16 years that we lived together, we never did anything like hold hands or kiss or anything ridiculously sexual. A lot of people at area restaurants and the bank thought we were a gay couple because we were so frequently together. Our favorite outing was going to the Cliff House in Cape Neddick, Maine which we would do 3 to 4 times a year, always getting separate rooms. He never once did cocaine, not even one line to try it. In Hollis, I tried cocaine a few times but for 15 years was clean with (removed). Joanne Ledger, my best friend to this day, and I made a lot of trips to the Cliff House, too, always with separate rooms. Joanne to this day has never tried marijuana or cocaine. The Cliff House is a place that I have gone to for 40 years. It used to be affordable, owned and operated by Katherine Weare. It now costs $1,000 a night with a 2-night minimum because massive corporate investment to the property has been made.
Now I still love Maine. This year, Susan and I have gone to a hotel called the Norseman. In the special rooms that we get there, the high tide watermark is only 6 car lengths from the room.
